Since opening seven years ago Darwins restaurant has produced a dedicated following of fans who rave about the culinary delights on offer. A family run business, the theme of the restaurant is based on Charles Darwin's ‘the origin of species’. When you arrive you will be welcomed by our charming hosts. Our own unique in house butchers supply and sources all of our certified Irish meats including Angus, game, poultry and genuine Dry aged beef.

With this unique background, you may expect excellent meats- especially great steaks cooked to perfection- but there is also a fresh variety of seafood dishes on offer. Vegetarians are brilliantly catered for on a separate menu with a big choice including honey, lime and sesame tofu steaks.

The desserts will render you speechless with an intriguing choice including our signature bread and butter pudding, baileys toffee sauce and vanilla malt ice cream. Darwin’s menu is one of those that you literally want to order everything off. Our chefs bring a variety of flavours to tease the palate, influenced by international and local cuisine. Passionate about their work they provide creative dishes using the finest seasonal ingredients and locally sourced produce. This intimate 75 seater restaurant located just five minutes from St. Stephen's green has been nominated for numerous awards.
